Updating the light fixtures in your home is an easy, inexpensive way to upgrade the appearance of your home and express your personal style. A good light fixture that matches your home’s aesthetic is the icing on the cake that is a well-designed space. And, you can do it all yourself (and maybe with a little help from YouTube).

Luckily for you, there are tons of fixtures on the market today that will match any design style. From eclectic to farmhouse and Scandinavian to colonial, there is something out there for everyone.

Not only will updated fixtures help you to establish your style within your space, but they can also make your home feel much more expensive than it really is. What a bonus, right?!

Let’s say you just purchased a new home and there are nipple lights EVERYWHERE. First of all, I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Secondly, let’s get those things out of there and put them in the trash where they belong.

Because these things are in pretty much every house in America, it’s a safe bet to say that those nipple lights were literally the cheapest thing your builder could find. So, any new fixture that doesn’t cost $14 will be a tremendous upgrade and look soooo much better.

Below, I have linked a ton of great options for the most popular style categories out there at the moment: Farmhouse, Modern, and Midcentury Modern. These are all very affordable light fixtures so that you’ll find something no matter what your budget is. Remember to measure, measure, measure! Happy hunting!

P.S. If you don’t find anything here, or none of these options really match your style, I encourage you to hop online and do some digging. There are tons on great resources for light fixtures like Home Depot, Lowes, Burke Decor, Lamps Plus, and so many more.
